Africa: A Diverse Continent

Sometimes people think of Africa as being the same throughout the continent, but the truth is Africa is incredibly diverse. There are 53 countries in Africa and between 2000 and 3000 languages spoken there! Many of these languages are only spoken by small groups of people, so they may soon become extinct.

What do you think the United States would be like if each state spoke a different language? How would our lives be different?

    If we spoke different languages in each state, it would be difficult to communicate. Some people wouldn't be able to understand the president. The United States of America wouldn't be united.

    I think the united states would be diffrent because in each state they have there own kind of language and if you go there you would have to learn there kind of langue which can be hard because you cant learn about 50 lagues at the same time. For me it would be really hard. Our live will be different because not alot of people weill speak the same because they wouldt be able to speak to anybody they want because they will probably speak a diffrent language.

    If every state spoke a different language then it will be hard because if someone from another state wants to come into another state, then he will be unable to communicate. Also some of the languages come from different cultures and this means that they are all going to be different cultures. And when this happens people will be judging people for not doing the same as them. Our lives would be different because if every state spoke a different language we would all be confused.

    the untied states would be different if each state spoke a different language because if someone traveled to a different state they would not no the language everyone else was speaking and would not be able to communicate with anyone.

    The United States would be different if each state spoke different languages, we have a lot of tourist and we would be able to understand their language if they had any questions. It would be a great opportunity for all people living in the united states because they would learn different languages.

    If every state in the USA spoke a different language, that would make me want to travel so I could learn different languages. For example, if I don't learn different languages, I can't communicate with other people. In conclusion, I think that if each state in the USA spoke different languages, it would change our lives in a good way.

    If our states spoke a different languages I will learn them and then travel around the world and if I knew all the languages I will understand what they are saying and what they are doing. For example if I didn't know the languages I wouldn't understand what they are saying and what they are doing is great to know different languages it helps us communicate world wide.

    If every state in the USA spoke a different language I would beg to go to every state in the USA from Arizona to Maine and I would want to learn every language for every state.

    If we spoke different languages in each state it would be really hard to travel.Every time you went to another state you would have to learn another language and it takes a really long time to learn a different language.

    I think that if every state in the united states spoke a different language then there would be signs and restuaunts with names that are in a different language.Our lives would be different because we would probaly write and read differently and also we would probaly not learn about the same things we are learning now.And thins would probaly work a lot differently.

    If every single state spoke differently we can't communicate and signs would be different and we can't read them. There could be more disagreements and arguments. It would be hard to move to a new state because people would have to learn the language.It would be difficult.

    if we spoke different languages it would be hard like if i was going to a another state I wouldn't know the language and then i cant talk to the people. and if you don't know the language it can get hard like if you don't understand your boss then you wont know what is going on and you can get fired .

    Our lives would be different because people from other states came and they spoke different language they would not understand and we would not be united if kids came from Florida to New York they would not understand English and if they went to school they would not understand the teacher.

    I think that the United States would be different if each state spoke a different language because, everyone would be busy learning another language or they might not be able to speak to each other. So everyone would not be focusing on the stuff that needs to be done they’d be focusing on the language. People would not be able to reach out to each other because they’d be stuck in a room learning another language. The president wouldn’t be able to understand what everyone wanted and what they think should be done by the United States so the government wouldn’t work as well as it does now.
    Our lives would be different because if we wanted to travel to a different state we would have to learn another language in order to speak with people of other states. Life wouldn’t be as easy as it is now.

    I think that America would be really interesting if we all spoke a different language. It's nice to learn different languages. It's also helpful knowing different languages when traveling. It would also make us work harder to be friends because we want understand their language.

    The United States of America would be different because we wouldn't understand each other and we wouldn't be friends.We wouldn't even be able to understand our teachers and our school aids.we also wouldn't be able to read books made in a different state.

    If every state spoke a different language when you took a vacation you would not know what people are talking about. Also if your grandparents lived in a different state you wouldn't know what anybody was saying. And if you moved to a different state you would have to learn a whole different language.

    If somebody moved to the United States they would speak a different language and you wouldn't understand what they were saying. If they got a job when they got customers the customers would not understand what they are saying and the business wouldn't sell at all.

    I think the United States would be cool because if you go to another state and you don't speak the same language you could learn it and then you know two languages. Then the next time you go there you don't have a difficult time learning it. Our lives would be different because you wouldn't be able to talk to people from different states.

    Our lives would be different because we would not be able to communicate with different states in the country. You would need to know some of the states' languages so you could talk to friends in different states and if some of your relatives lived in a different state. I would need to learn about 5 different languages.

    Well, if you wanted to talk to someone and you were in the United States and the person was speaking a different language for example if they were speaking Chinese or Spanish and you were speaking a different language you would never understand each other. If you were trying to talk to your family members in a different state it would be frustrating.

    If people in different states spoke different languages I would feel sad because my brother would speak a different language and I would not understand him. Also school would be harder because I would have to learn another difficult language.

    If people spoke different languages that other people didn't understand, then we wouldn't be able to communicate with each other and ask questions. It would also be hard to travel because then you wouldn't be able to speak to people who are in the state you are traveling to.

    If each state spoke different languages people wouldn't go on vacation anymore because they don't know how to speak another language and you wouldn't get what you want and it wouldn't be fun because there going to make people hate vacations. People wouldn't want to go to vacations anymore they will probably go on vacation in there state. You wouldn't be able to communicate with people anymore like friends and family. Every state has a different culture.
