How does what we learned through our research about the Revolutionary War affect our lives today?

  4. It is important to learn about the Revalutionary war because we should all know what these people have done for us, and how much they have suffered. When we were resacherching I found out that, anyone that fights for somthing good, they are activists. This war affects our lives today because they were fighting for democracy back then, now we are still fighting for demrocy in other coutryis. Also not evryone has equal rights, for exampale in some countrys girls can not go to school.

  5. Its important to learn about the American revolution because its important to remember and learn about the people who helped our world like Debra Sampson or James Forten. They both made our world a better place and its important to really appreciate them. The revolutionary war effects our live because without people fight and trying to do what's right. Our world would be way different. And yes everyone has equal rights because back then mostly the black people we taken as slaves and the white people would capture them and murder them.

  6. It's important to learn about the American Revolution because it's good to know about how the Patriots won the war against the British and how America came to be, but also to learn about democracy and coverture and how that was a common thing for people in the 1700s. It's also important because people in the war like George Washington will always be a very important part of history.

  7. Its important to learn about the American Revolutionary war because
The American Revolution was a time when the British colonists in America rebelled against the rule of Great Britain. There were many battles fought and the colonies gained their freedom and became the independent country of the United States. The American Revolutionary War lasted from 1775 until 1783. When we were research I found out that, anyone that fights for something good, they are activists. This war affects our lives today because they were fighting for democracy back then, now we are still fighting for democracy.

  8. It’s important to know about the revolutionary war because people rest their lives for us to be free today and to not be ruled by the British. Today where still fighting for democracy today, like how our president doesn’t want Mexicans in America and they don’t want gays and transgender people in the army and we’re fighting for LGBTQ rights.

  9. It’s important to learn about the American Revolution because hero’s like Deborah Sampson, Mary Ludwing, and Margret were camp followers that went into war or went into the war as a man and fought. Us learning about the Revolutionary war will affect our lives because we will learn how it was to live in the war and how kids went into the war at 13 and 14 years old. We still fight for democracy because everybody should be treated equally.

  11. It is important to talk about the Revolutionary War because we didn't have the same democracy and laws like coverture (coverture is the act of men treating their wives like slaves). A lot of people were mistreated for things that they shouldn't have been, such as Deborah Samson who became a soldier and fought against the British but didn't get her pensioin, or James Forten who was thrown on the Jersey ship because he was black and the British thought he was a slave but he was born a free man. It's important to learn about these things so we know how the world was and can change it for the better.

  12. It is important to learn about the Revolutionary war so that we know the mistakes that the British and people in history made so that we don't make the same mistakes.
Learning about the Revolutionary War affects our lives by giving us pointers on how to shape our world. It affects our lives by showing us that freedom is something we should fight for and that everyone deserves freedom. We are still fighting for for democracy because coverture is still around in unequal pay. Not everyone has equal rights. I know this because there has been only one black American president and no women American presidents in the USA, and again women still get paid less than men in pretty much every job in the USA.

  13. It is important to learn about the revolutionary war because it teaches us about how this country was born. Our research affects our lives today because it inspires us to be everyday heroes. There were many famous and infamous heroes who fought in the revolutionary war and risked their lives trying to free this country from British rule. I think we already have democracy in this country because everyone can vote. I don’t think everyone has equal rights because there are still people who are discriminated against on the way their skin color looks or what gender they are.

  14. It is important to learn about the revolutionary war because there are many people who fought in the war who nobody knows about. Prince Estabrook was someone who gave up his freedom just to be a patriot yet his story hasn’t been told. Yes, we are still fighting for democracy. Not everyone is treated equally. There are many homeless people around the world which is a form of economic inequality.

  15. I think it's important to be studying the Revolutionary War because there was a lot of sexism and racism around that time and we are focusing on the people who fought against the coveture laws and slavery. Our studies have shown us how much things have changed and how much we still need to work on.

  17. It is important to learn about the revolution war because we as people should know more about the people who risk there live for us and was in war to save us from slavery. What we learn in class about the revolution war affect our lives today because if the people who went into war for us and was fighting untill we had our freedom and if all the social activist did not fight we would still not have freedom today.Yes. we are still fighting democracy because gay people are miss tretied just because a girl likes a girl or a boy likes a boy. No. not everyone has equal rights because lets say a man and a women was working and they get a pay a man will get more money than a women would.

  20. I like to read in my bed. I like to read fiction and fantasy.
I like to read magazines. My favorite authors are Andrew Clements and Rick Riordan. My favorite series is the Percy Jackson series. Reading makes me feel like I’m in another world. What I like most about reading is it makes everything
around you disappear. The most challenging thingabout reading for me is having enough time to do it. One of my favorite books is The Report Card by Andrew Clements.
He captures the evidence so vividly. I read books over if I really like them. The character Percy Jackson inspires me
because he is funny, sarcastic and brave.
