Opinion: Separate Boys and Girls at School?

Read the article below from Scholastic News, "Separate Boys and Girls?"

Do you think boys and girls should be separate at school? Do all boys or all girls classrooms/schools help kids learn better? Would you like to go to a gender separated school?

    No I don't think kids should be separated at school because boys and girls need to work together. And girls will see each other all the time. Won't it get boring? I think it will. Kids shouldn't be separated at school.

    I do not think boys and girls should be separated in school. Boys and girls won't know how to work together in school if schools separate them. Boys and girls can learn from each other and how they think.

    I think schools should not be separate because kids should learn to cooperate and be social, and they need to learn how to work together.

    I think that kids shouldn't be separate because we could learn how to get along with each other better and not fight all the time. Girls and boys are different they could learn to work together in the classroom and learn more.

    No schools should not separate Boys and Girls. Because boys and girls have to learn that they have to work together. Another example is that a lot of girls agree with each other boys sometimes disagree what girls think so you can learn a lot from each other .Another reason is that Boys and Girls should share there idea with Boys because boys could change your mined. That's why I think schools should not separate Boys and Girls.

    I think boys and girls should not be separate because they have to learn together and make up ideas.Another example is boys do not have ideas like girls do so I think they should share all kinds of ideas together.My third example is boys and girls wont get along with each other at all.

    I feel that schools should not separate boys and girls because we can learn from each other. another reason is boys can help the girls learn about sports if they are interested. We all need to learn to get along.

    i think schools should not separate boys and girls because it's kind of like when martin luther king jr was around it's almost like segregation when they separated blacks and whites

    I think girls and boys should not be separated.Because maybe a girl and boy are best friends and if you separate girls and boys then your breaking up their friendship.And girls and boys always work together to come up with an idea .But if you separate girls and boys then they won't be able to do that.And if was only girls or boys then it wouldn't be a variety of kids it would just be girls or just boys and that's why i think boys and girls shouldn't be separated.

    I think that kids should not be separated because 1.some boys and girls are very good friends.2.I think kids would get bored with the same gender all the time.3. kids might miss the other gender now you know my 3 reasons why boys and girls should be put in the same class

    yes i do think that girls and boys should be in the same classrooms because it wood bring people together. and having fun with a boy and a girl you'' never no that you are good friends .

    No, I think that boys and girls shouldn't be put into different classes. In the real world, if boys and girls are separated then they will find it difficult to cooperate with each other and never learn to work together. Another reason is boys and girls should be able to be friends with each other and they will start to feel comfortable working together inside and outside the classroom and it will then start to feel normal. And that my friends, are two reasons why I think that boys and girls should not be separated in to different classes.

    I agree with Alex that boys and girls should be in the same classroom. Since there is already boys and girls in my current classroom. I wouldn't want to only have male friends in my class. I get along with everyone regardless if they're a boy or girl. So I don't really see the difference in having an all same gender classroom every single day. I wouldn't like being with only boys because sometimes girls are really smart.

    I think boys and girls should not get different schools.
    When you are a grownup you will have to deal
    with the other gender whether you like it or not. Maybe
    you get along with the other gender better and you don't
    like your gender. That is why I think kids should not have 1 gender schools.

    No, I think girls and boys should not be separated for these three reasons:when kids will grow up and go to work and they will not know how to work together,girls and boys might want to play with each other and it will not be fun.

    My first reason is that when kids will grow up as an adult at work men and women have to work together but you don't know how because you haven't worked together at school.


    My second reason is that a girl might want to play with a boy.For an example a girl knows a boy and they are in the same school and they want to see each other but they cant because girls and boys are separated.

    My third reason is that it will not be fun.For an example a girl wants to talk to a boy and a boy wants to talk to a girl.

    In conclusion boys and girls should not be separated.I think girls and boys should never be separated.

    In my opinion, I do not think girls and boys should be separated from each other. Yes, they may argue but sometimes that's a good thing because it can help teach them how to work together and to value others opinions or at least consider them. They also focus with good friends and everybody is a friend in my school so they should be to. If you don't like boys as a friend that is okay they probably have other friends.

    No I do not think schools should separate boys and girls because there would be more kids at school and kids could have a little more fun. My second (and last) reason is if there veriaety among kids we all learn more.

    I think that kids should be separated because they will want to read what they wrote and they will feel confident by what they wrote and boys will want to do the same thing.

    Should boys be separate from girls? No.

    My first reason is if boys would be separate from girls they are going to think that boys must be separate from girls. For example, when boys and girls are walking they would try to fight each other and it would become boys against girls.

    My second reason is boys and girls they'll feel more comfortable working with people of the opposite gender when they grow up.

    My third reason is boys and girls need to learn to work together, like for example boys and girls would get along.

    I totally disagree with all you guys. I think boys and girls should be separate in school.Especially in high school,me being a young girl myself think that that's way to much of a distraction.If we did get separated we would focus on our school work.And not he say she say stuff.I'm done that's all I wanted to say.

    I think boy and girls should not seperate
    In moderen age,because when they seperate his focus not at study however, more reason grow up as that as,they work don't good and after thier results soo bad .
