On January 24, we have our annual March on Borough Hall in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We will design posters to carry with us on the march.
Think about your response to last week's blog question: What is your Dream for a Better World?
How could you show your dream for a better world on a poster? What words will you put on your poster? What drawings will help others understand your message? Explain your thinking.
On my poster, I will write: I am Dr. King's Dream. When Dr. Spoke of his dream, my parents could not be married in some parts of this country. Because he and other people fought for equal rights, my parents could get married and I was created. I would draw a picture of myself on my poster.
ReplyDeleteMy dream for a better world is everyone having enough food to eat because if you don't have food and water you are going to die. For the march I will draw a bottle of water and some apples and bananas. I will also put the words "everyone should have food" on the poster.
ReplyDeleteMy heading for the MLK day poster is for recycling and it is: KEEP YOUR WORLD CLEAN AND RECYCLE!
ReplyDeleteOne thing I will write on a poster for MLK is: is keep your world clean and recycle. I will write that as my heading. One reason of why I will write is because the only main reason of why people recycle is to keep this world clean and that heading is saying that. I will also draw a picture of a person throwing away a piece of trash!!!

ReplyDeleteone thing i will write on my poster is MLK will be martin luther king jr is that he was a great man.one reason would be that he was one of the most important blacks who had ended segregation and then nothing was only for whites and only for blacks.so thats why i want to have poster of martin luther king jr saying this man was a great one .

Let's raise money to donate all the furniture clothing and everything the homeless will need. I would draw houses, clothes, furniture, food and money and people. lets all come together to make a better world.

ReplyDeleteI will draw a mass extinction to let everybody know what is going to happen if they keep killing animals and polluting. I will write about how killing animals and polluting will effect humans by running out of food and making the air to hard to breathe through and globule warming will happen and humans will have created all of it.
ReplyDeleteMy dream for a better world is to end war. Martin Luther King was a man who wanted peace for all. If war is ended, we can have peace across the globe. I would show my dream on a poster by drawing people fighting and families torn apart, then draw Xs on them to show that we don't want war or people to fight or families torn apart.

ReplyDeleteMy dream is for people to stop littering. I would draw a picture of somebody littering and put and X mark on it. And on my poster I would say DON'T LITTER in big letters! BE ClEAN! I think not littering is important because its unhealthy for the Earth.

Martin Luther King Jr was a man that wanted peace and kindness.
ReplyDeleteI think on my poster I would write "Give money to the homeless people". I believe that if more people gave out money the homeless wouldn't suffer. On my poster it would have people giving out money to homeless. It would also show the cold winter season. I believe this would change everyone's minds and stop all the suffering.

My dream is for everyone to keep trees alive. I believe all people that cut down or remove trees should have to replace it by planting new trees. In a poster I will show boys and girls planting trees in a city. I will write in big letters "PLANT MORE TREES AND YOU'LL SEE A DIFFERENCE. ONE EARTH!"
