  10. My hopes and dreams is that more people recycle and save the earth. And the people use sonar panel energy. My goal is that I want to recycle more and to get other people to recycle because kids in the cafeteria are really messy and they don't recycle. Whenever I get school lunch I'll look at the signs above the garbage cans and put my garbage in the right garbage can.

  11. My goal for New Years is to get better in every subject at my school. How i will do it is by working hard and most importantly listen because if I don't listen then I will never get anything correct. I don't expect to be like everyone else in my class, not that I'm saying I shouldn't, but I want to be my own person, a nice smart person.

  12. My hopes and dreams for the new year is for all my classmates to take care of the classroom. I also hope for a bigger board for Ms. S.

I would like to work harder on my reading so I can be a stronger reader. I also want to do a little better in math by taking my time doing the work. Another goal is to be a better soccer player.

I will read different types of books. Try to read more out loud to my parents. Work on different types of math problems to get better. In order to be a better soccer player, must practice more and never give up.

I think to help our community of learners in the class we could have some 5th graders to come and help us with some of our activities. Also, pair kids up with other kids who are really good readers or are good in math.

  18. My hope for the new year is that no one in my family or my class gets hurt or gets sick. I want for everyone to stay healthy. My dream is to become a great actress.

For my goals, I want to work on being a better math student. I will accomplish this goal by watching more educational math videos. I will also ask more questions about what we are learning in math so that I can make sure that I understand what we are learning. In addition to becoming better at math, I want to be able to do a split by the end of the year. I will practice my splits for five minutes every day and I will push myself to keep going deeper.

To help our community of learners in the classroom, I will help more kids. To help more kids, I will do my work faster so that I can help other kids with their work when I am done. I will able encourage them to study their multiplication and division facts and to listen to the teacher.

  20. I chose Barack Obama because just like Jackie Robinson Barack, known as Barry, broke a color barrier. Barack broke the presidential color barrier by becoming president. Barack allowed people of all races to be able to become a president of the United States of America. Before Obama became president there were only white presidents none were African American,Asian,Gay,Jewish,Spanish or Female! Barack inspires me to follow my dreams because he wasn’t afraid to make a change. That inspires me because some didn’t want Barack to be president and criticized him. He was committed to his dream to become president and he never gave up on his dream.
