  1. Savannah- I like to write fantasy and mystery. For my independent project I wrote a draft but other times I write with no draft. I don't use a calendar but I start and try to finish before it's due. I've grown as a writer because I used to like making stories about people 's lives but now I like to write other things too.

  3. As an independent writer I like to write about myself and things that could happen. My writing territory is a place I can list things that I like and then I can look back and write about something there. Yes my writing territory is changing because I have different things written in it. I write independently by first thinking about what to write about and what I’m interested in. My writing process is to think about what to write about, write it down on paper and make sure everything is spelled right, then do a final draft. I use my writers noteboook to write my first draft. I manage my timing by timing how long I write. Some evidence for me growing as a writer is that I use to not be able to fill a whole page but now I can.

  4. I like to write fiction and non-fiction. When I started to do my independent writing project I don't really do a draft and I don't editing I just go straight into it .I don't have an exact date but I like to try to do it early so that I don't have to stress about it later on. My writing territory has changed because before I would do fiction piece after fiction after fiction piece. Now I think I like to do literally essays and I'm really good at it and putting specifically that type of essay together.

  5. I like to write about fiction and personal narratives. How I like to start my independent project is by revising and editing because I don't really think that I need the other stages because I think those two are most important. I don't really like doing it early because I like to do things late and it's a habit of mine. I mostly write about fiction but I tried doing something different and it really worked out.

  7. In my writing territory I have personal natives, animals, fantasy, and books I've read. I think my writing territory is the same as the it was in the beginning of the year. I think I do a pretty good job writing independently. But I do do revising and editing at once. I usually leave the last minute, even though I always get it done on time I think I should start it earlier. But I think i am a pretty good independent writer.

  8. I am a comfortable being an independent writer. There are different things that I like to write about. I like to write about fictional writing pieces. One of these pieces that I’m outer space and aliens. Sometimes I write about non-fiction stories. Some of the things I wrote in the past were personal narrative and animals. There are different steps in my writing process. First, I think about different ideas. Then I pick one idea that is interesting. I list my ideas on a piece of paper. Then I put my ideas into a story. I use my Writer’s Notebook for independent writing to write down different parts of a story. I try to break down my writing into different pieces. First, write notes in my book about the story I read. I read over my work to see if I can add more details. I don’t use a calendar for my writing. When I first started writing, it was difficult for me to put my ideas on paper. Now I have learned to list my ideas and put them together to make a story. I noticed that in my Writers Notebook.

  10. I love to write about non fiction and alien invasions. I write independently when I am quiet and I put my eyes on my paper. My writing process is to get in a comfortable position and think of any thing that is on top of my mind. And no i dont use a calendar I dont know why.

  11. I’m the kind of writer that loves fiction. I like fiction mostly I haven’t changed on that. Not a lot but sometimes I make new characters by writing there names down and writing about them underneath. I don’t use a calendar or anything I just start a piece when I’m done with homework usually at the end of the month. My evidence that I’ve grown as a writer is my open genre piece. It wasn’t clear but my independent writing piece is more clear and was a better piece of writing.

  12. I like to write non fiction and about my self. Yes my writing territory is changing because I am noticing what I do wrong. My writing process is that my dad and I will take a walk and it helps me think what to write. To finish my independent writing what I do is that when I reading I think what I should write about so I will not take 10 to 15 minutes thinking what to write

  13. As an independent writer I am a person who likes to write about personal narratives. I also like to write about aliens. I write independently when I am not talking to anyone. I like to write at home on my kitchen island. I want to learn to write more and enhance my stories. I use my writers notebook to think about ideas to write which are usually personal events. I normally don't write a first draft however I edit my writing as needed. I manage to finish writing by focusing. The evidence that I have grown as a writer is not talking to people and focusing while I'm working on my piece.

  14. I am a fictional writer in my independent writing really. My writing territory is hard to say so I am just going to say two examples that are probably in my writing territory. These two examples are mystery and pieces about fictional characters. These fall into the category of fiction because the mystery was made up and my other piece is fiction because the characters are not real.
Instead of my writing territory changing naturally, I am trying to make it change by writing more fiction pieces. I would say it is changing a little bit.
I think what I really do is just draft it then edit with my parents as we type it on the computer and I don't really know if I revise much or at all.
The way I write independently is simple. I decide what to write about then I start doing that independently or I guess I try to.
My writer's notebook doesn't really help me. I think the only time it helped me was when I was doing the piece "When me and Oskar met".
I guess it is hard to talk about timing. It has sometimes been good like with my "Coruscant Guard staff" piece and sometimes it has been a pretty big rush like with "The Stolen Emerald".
I don't really use a calendar I guess, this time I am using a calendar though.
I don't have any evidence that I have grown as a writer, because I don't know if I have grown as a writer. What I do know though is I am becoming more aware that I should do more non fiction independent writing. I do think it would be good to ask myself during writing or just any time "am I becoming a better writer?

  15. As an independent writer I like to base my characters on real people now. My writing territory was just sci-fi, fantasy and realistic fiction.I now like to write sci-fi, fantasy, realistic fiction, mystery, biography and historical fiction. My territory’s have changed because I’ve gone from 3 to 6 genres.I take the first idea that comes to my head then I write it down in my writer’s notebook. I draft, revise, edit and publish. I gather the ideas that I want to take out from writer’s notebook. I always start the last week before it’s due. I should start earlier to make it better. I used to make up things that were places and character’s, now I base them on real things and I add more details.
