These words mean to me that you should never use violence or hurt anyone in any way when you are pushing for what you think is right. You must use your heart and treat other people with respect, even if you don't always feel like it. Always treat other people the way you want to be treated. It is also important to keep working for what you think is right and be fair to all people.

I think that this means that you should not be physical, but use words to fight for what you think is important. If someone hurts your feelings, you should not try to hurt them back. Tell the person how you feel and ask them not to do it again. When MLK says "Let no man pull you so low as to hate him", he means to say that hate is a terrible thing, and if you are fighting for peace you should not use hatred as you're weapon.
ReplyDeleteWhen I hear Martin Luther King say use love as a weapon, I think of all he had to go through and the love he had for the other people to do that. And how strong he was to keep going and he knew that love is so powerful that it could win any battle, and it wouldn't involve violence.
ReplyDeleteAnd when he neeed to acccomplish something, he used love, and he realized it wasn't worth it to hate somebody. the other people didn't realize how love is so important.
These words mean to me that love is the key to world peace and vilonce is never the answer.Hatred is not a good thing.It can go too far and turn into vilonce.Discipline is a good thing.It teaches you to do things right the first time so nothing bad happens after.

ReplyDeleteideas and that your different you don't want a friend that wouldn't complement you you don't want a friend that insults you it doesn't mean that you hate them you just know inside that that person isn't trying there hardest.
What these words mean to me is that when you're trying to do something, you have to be patient and careful. You also have to respect other people and their ideas. When Martin Luther King says, "Use only the weapon of love," I think he means that love is a different kind of weapon, in most circumstances love will heal, not hurt.

ReplyDeleteThe words MLK once said mean to not use weapons to hurt but to always try to avoid hatred. Even if there is a struggle for fairness we beat that struggle with love and practice. It is easy to love someone when they love you but it is hard to love someone when they hate you. So MLK tells us to not use violence and it is not easy but it is good.

Martin Luther King spoke these words. He not only spoke these words, but he meant them. These words are very powerful words. They show that fighting doesn't solve anything. It may not seem this way but using your words are as powerful as your actions. How to MLKJ convince many people to stop discrimination? He used words. And the words came from his heart that loved. How could he have possibly convince thousands of people using violince. Using violince only make things worse. They would probably disagree with him. People don't want to listen to people who use violance. But even if someone is violant to you don't be violant back, it won't do anything, but hate him. And as MLKJ said, "Never let a man pull you so low as to hate him." Martin Luther King Jr. is famous because he convinced thousands of people to agree to stop discrimination without violance. We all can be like that, if we have peace, love, and don't hate anybody or ever use violance. And part of having all of that is being happy.

If you want to do justice don't use weapons use love and don't hate someone just turn the other cheak and walk away and walk away from violence.

He is also saying to move on with life with dignity and never joke around too much. Always go as far away as you can from violence. Always use love and respect while talking to people.

If you be mean to them back you are also being nasty because if you fight fire with fire it will just make and even bigger fire. So just be nice to them back. That's what I think these words mean.
