My advice to 4th graders about homework is to do as soon as you get home because that way later on when you like playing video games and having fun and stuff you won't have to have your mom or dad or anyone else to come in your room and say do your homework son or daughter that way you could just stay and not be bothered and just have a lot of fun also also you don't have to be like yeah that and you won't have to have like if you don't listen to your parents like you will have to have you like your anything take away from you if you don't listen to just listen again to get home do homework that way you won't be bothered for the rest of your day
Here are some things I am going to be talking about for new fourth graders next year: Math, recess, making new friends and more. Some advice about math is... Study multiplication tables because it is very important that you know them because then you won't be able to do cross multiplication, and that is very important to fourth grade. Some advice for recess is... If nobody lets you play with them you could enjoy the garden and smell the flowers. But if you see someone that has no one to play with, play with them, then they will be your friend. Some final advice is for making friends... When you want to make new friends you have to be friendly and be nice to them. If they are being mean to you then you should not be friends with them. That is some advice for the new fourth graders.
I think if you are an incoming fourth grader and you are having a hard time at recces with a student you should try to ignore them but if they don't stop bothering you, you should tell a teacher. You should always do your homework ASAP because then you are free for fun stuff for the rest of the night.
dear new 4th graders, here is some advice for 4th grade. when your friends turn on you and you feel left out just ignore them and if they bother you then tell a teacher or work it out with your friend tell them how you feel. also i want to give you a heads up work can be hard but your teacher will always help you through it.
My advice to incoming fourth graders: Homework: My advice about homework is to do it strait when you get home, or if you wake up early and you have some times to spare do your homework then. If you are doing the blog on a computer, write on word and then copy and paste to the blog.
Friends:
#EYIW (embrace your inner weirdo) The weirdest thing about you is usually the best thing. Nobody like a person just cares about fitting in. When people say mean things about you, just shake it off. (The good shake it off by Florence + the machine) People usually don’t mean the things they say about you
Work:
Take an hour each Sunday to work on your academics with your Mom/Dad. You should never be afraid to ask for help. The kids who have made the best progress have always asked for help.
This is the letter of advice I would give them. Dear new fourth graders, in the class when you are studying your vocab words you should ask somebody to test you on the words until the day of the test. For math you should study your multiplication tables because to go threw academics faster. In reading you should read every day so you can grow better and better as a reader. In writing you should always be writing a independent writing piece. You should always be efficient in your work and respect your teachers, classmates and more. You should always be nice to people that are even being mean to you.
Advice to the next fourth graders. Act your best, because your behavior in fourth grade is very important to your high school , and college, and your job, which means your money. Your attendance is as important as you behavior. You have to study and work hard to get good grades. Before school (if you come early),and at recess, let out your energy. learn to listen well, because in 5th grade the teachers are not going to repeat what they say. If a person on the rug says something mean, or bad, don't speak back, and if that person does again and again, ignore them, and after school, if Ms.Scarborough is free, tell her. If you have a fight with your friends don't bring it into the classroom, and if you are crying go to the bathroom to let it out.
Some advice that I would like to give you is about making friends, keeping them and also about your temptation to draw. First I would like to advise you about making friends. Sometimes you feel like you have no friends and that you are the only one… etcetera, but don’t be the victim and try to look into the people that you don’t know well. You will find that most of the time, the people you don’t know will automatically “click” with you. Also, I agree with Bebe Bunny: “#EYIW, embrace your inner weirdo” Next, I would like to talk about keeping friends. Every friendship amounts to a fight at some point, so you should learn how to deal with it in a civilized manner. This means that you control feelings and words so you can solve the fight without getting out of order. As they say: “Watch your feelings, for they become your thoughts. Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become your destiny.” In other words, show empathy for your friend in fight. Try to step into their shoes and see how they feel. Last but not least, a lot of kids, and even adults have the temptation to doodle during work, and although scientists have proven that doodling helps you concentrate, sometimes drawing takes over you. When you feel like drawing, you should always have a scrap piece of paper so you can use it over and over again for scribbling. When you scribble without looking, it feels like you’re drawing even if you know you are not. This helped me tremendously and I really recommend it.
The most important advise I want to give you is, to be focused in Ms. Scarborough's class because you never know what Ms.S is going to ask you next. Another important thing I have to tell you is stay strong and don't let anything get in to your way because if some thing does you can't achieve your goals. When I did, try to achieve my goals I did and that is what you need to do to achieve your goals. One more thing I have to say ms.scarborough is a lovely teacher and you are going to love her!!!
incoming 4th graders that are coming should know some of these things: you will be learning a lot more math for example, more multiplying, algebra, geometry, partial product, and area model. Also a tip to foucus on reading is , if you get distracted you can flick your hand to get back on task. In writing you will have fun writing a historical fiction piece. This historical fiction piece will have to do about the revelution war about a character you make up, it could be a: journey, journal, diary,or travel about a imagination. Incoming 4th graders will enjoy 4th grade!!!!!!!!!

dear incoming fourth graders, here is some advice about fourth grade. ill start with friends. if you are not in the same class as you friends, don't worry. you get to see them. If you have a problem, do NOT go strait to a teacher because they make it worse. the make you do something called "Talking It Out" and for me, personely, that teacher strategy does not work. Now ill tell you about schoolwork, don Don DON! Ms. S isnt hard on you so that is taken out of your worries (or whatever list its on, if its on a list). Though, ms. scarborough will surprise you with what she throws at you. but, overall, you are going to love fourth grade and ms.Scarborough!
In fourth grade, I think to get good grades you have to be listening very closely. I know this because normally Miss S grades us from our notebooks, and we to take notes in class about what she is teaching.
If you don't listen and take notes, then when you go to your seat you will not know what to do. Also, sometimes with math, we need our notes in order to do our homework, so listening and taking notes is very important in fourth grade.
Dear third grade students, Here is some advice for 4th grade: • You should be positive about your work because if you stress, you will not get much done. • Know your multiplication table from 1-12. • Ask for help when needed. • Try new things. • Turn learning into a game. • Work over the summer. • Try to bond with your teacher.
Some advice that I would give to on coming 4th graders is that when you get in a problem with your friends you should try to solve it together first before going to an adult. Another piece of advice is that you have to be confident because if you are not confident than you will not be able to do your work because you will think that you can’t do it. Also, when you are doing your work you have to really try before you go ask for help. Also, you have to pay attention in class because if you don’t pay attention than when you go back to your seat than you won’t know what to do. You should also be able to be friends with everyone in you class. And most of all you should have fun!
The thing I want to tell you guys is just have a nice time in 4th grade and be happy everyday. If you get mad about something like somebody hurt your feelings just forget about it or tell the teacher. Make friends that you know you could depend on and they could depend on you. Always have Loving and try again and don't be mean to other kids and they won't be mean too you.
Dear new coming 4th graders here are some tips you could use for 4th grade.Tip1 for math: you should have friends or family help you with your multiplication facts because at the end of each week in the first few months of school we have a multiplication test.Tip2 about making friends: if you wan to make new friends you have to treat them the way you would want to be treated and you have to be nice and loyal to them and not be mean or hurt there feelings and you should let them play with you at recess.Tip3 about reading: you should read every day because then you will build you reading ability and lets say you where a level Q at the start of school and at the end you where a level U.Tip4 about writing: you should get lots of ideas from diffrent writers and friends and also you can go as wild and you mind takes you when you are writing whatever you want so there could be unicorns eating cookies dancing on rainbows:) Love your experienced 4th grader Nonna:):):):)
Somethings that you need to know for 4th grade is that it is really important to do your homework. Also if you have a problem with someone or one of you friends don't make the problem bigger just walk away and ignore them. If you need help on something don't be afraid to ask someone to help you. The last tip that I will give you is listen to you classmates when they are sharing their work because you can get ideas from them.
Dear incoming fourth graders the advice I am giving is for the vocabulary test. On Monday just look to see what words you don't know. On Thursday ask someone to ask you the meaning of the word. For example "smart", a person who is sad. That is wrong. And then, at the end of reading the list of words, the person helping you will tell the definition of the words you missed. On Friday, which is usually the day of the test, you first need to just calm down. Next, answer the question, then double check your work. Sincerely, Bea
