Some thing that I learned in fourth grade are... Fractions, decimals, long division,Native American clan
ReplyDeleteanimals, cross multiplication, historical fiction, early explorers brochures, poem books, time and weight. I chose decimals because learned I practiced and I did problems and put them on number lines. I also learned how to convert decimals to fractions and money, and I learned to compare them. This is very important because I think next year we will be learning thousandths and we need to be ready because fifth grade is a very important grade. That is how I learned decimals.
First of all I agree with you, fifth grade is really important.Second of all It's ostrich not ostrege.

Ten things I learned in fourth grade:
ReplyDelete1. Theories behind math
2. Not all friends will stick with you
3. Let it go sometimes
4. It’s not the destination that matters; it’s the journey.
5. Emotional settings
6. A strong opinion can lead to debate
7. To look for small details in books
8. Writing is a lot more than just the words on a page
9. I learned a new way to look at poems
10. Learn to accept
I learned some theories behind math this year, for example that numbers go on and on and on both ways. I also learned that not all friends are going to stick with you forever, and sometimes you need to let it go. I usually worry about the end of something, like an answer, but what matters more than the answer is the way you get the answer, in other words, the journey. Before this year, I never thought about emotional settings that much, and now that I’ve learned more about it during the historical fiction unit, it interests me. I usually have a strong opinion about things, and most of the time, a strong opinion can lead to a debate or more than just that. I have learned to say my strong opinion in a way that it doesn’t cause chaos and at the same time listen and learn from others.
When I read a book, I usually look at the big picture, but this year I learned to look at the details, because the details clear up the blurry parts of the big picture. When you look at details, most of the time you will see things you’ve never seen before. I used to just write words into a story, but now I write in a way that I use my voice in my writing and I try to write in a way that people can connect to. One kind of poem wasn’t enough for me. I wanted to learn more about poetry-and I did! This year, I enjoyed poetry even more than I already did!
One of the hardest things to do is to learn to accept things. Even when you feel hurt by what someone else was saying, you need to accept it, especially if what they are saying is true, maybe deep down you know it is true, and I’m glad I learned how to accept things.
The stuff iv learned in 4th grade in math is Geometry and measuring angles decimals also fractions reduce them and turn improper fractions into mixed numbers.
ReplyDeleteFor writing iv learned about and learned how to write it is historical fiction, literally essays, poems, conflict, character development,Flash backs, feature articles, native Americans, brochures. And for Reading dont judge a book by its cover, and making reading charts.

EX FRIENDS CAN BE VERY MEAN BUT TO JUST WALK AWAY
i think that the most important thing is the last one: EX FRIENDS CAN BE VERY MEAN BUT TO JUST WALK AWAY.
i think this because when your ex friend is being really mean you should just ignore that person and just walk away and that is a way you can deal with that person. i have learned that because i have an ex friend [not going to name names] and she was really rude and mean but i just tried to ignore her and walk away and that worked.

I know I learned how to use a protractor because 1. I didn't know what it was used for, I just use it to draw circles, 2. I didn't even know it was called a protractor. It is important to know how to use a protractor because you need it to know the angle of things and that comes in handy when your in school, or also if you're an architect and your biulding a building or something.
