  3. The word equal means you should treat people the same way you treat others because then it makes the feel different and we want everyone to feel the same way. It also means if someone looks different from you you shouldn't be mean to them and be nice to other people so if someone is a different culture or different skin you always treat them equal to make people feel good.

  5. To me the word freedom means to not hold someone back and let them do want they want to do based on there personality and not there skin color. My reasoning for this is because when MLK was around black people and other races didn't have as much power as white people like they do today. My family are south asian and when my mom was growing up her family didn't really have freedom and that really made me think really hard about the word freedom and not just pick any word to do and to think about why it is really special to me.So that is why I choose the word Freedom.

  6. Share can mean a lot of things. To me share means not only sharing things but to share your thinking and culture. Sharing could inspire change because someone could tell someone else there culture example: an African American can tell a white American about their culture .Sharing also means not writing whites only on a shop and instead writing this is an inclusive shop. It would be nice if more people would share their ideas culture and things.

  7. Committed means to me that you should keep trying no matter what roadblocks you hit. It was important to history because M.L.K was thrown in to prison twice and he got out and kept going. Also on the march people were scamming at him but he kept going.

  12. JUSTICE means: to fight for your rights and demand whats right. People fight for justice in many different ways like protests, speeches, and etc. Peer mediators like the ones at our school and activists seek justice. If people did not fight for their rights a lot of stuff would be different. You CANT own justice, you have to work for it.

  13. The word I choose was harmony. Harmony means to live in peace and when everything is in balance. I selected this word because right now we live in a time where there is hate and disrespect. People don’t get along and can not agree on problems that can help a lot of people. Harmony inspires me because I like when people can be friendly and work together for better life.

  14. To me to have empathy means to be considerate and not look down on others but to help them and try to help the community. Empathy also means to have a lot of sympathy for others. I think being empathetic can inspire people to look at what they are doing, and make a change to start helping others. An example of how empathy can change people is that when a person is nice to another person people, that makes the person being treated well feel good. And then the person who was treated well will feel good. That makes them start listening to each other and makes it easier for them to solve problems together.

  15. I chose the word power. Power means having control or command over others. When there is an unfair difference in power between groups, some people feel inspired to make change. During the Civil Rights Movement, white people had more power over black people. For example, white people were in control of where black people could eat and black people could only go to certain restaurants. Civil rights freedom fighters thought that this was unfair and protested to change it. Throughout history, men have had more power than women. There has never been a female president and men usually get paid more than women. Men also get better opportunities than women do. For example, in some countries, girls can't even go to school. I think that this is wrong and I would like to inspire change by becoming the first woman president.

  16. Dreams
What the word dreams means to me is something someone has been waiting on that can finally comes true. The word Dream inspires social change and activism because it makes you stand up for yourself and others. Standing up for what you believe in and not be afraid. Dreams make you a better person. Dreams are inspiration. Dreams can make you hopeful for a better tomorrow. Martin Luther King Jr. was hopeful. At the March on Washington for civil and economic rights for African Americans he spoke of the dreams he had for a better America. Like Martin I am hopeful that a change will come.

  17. Courage is my word because Martin Luther King had the courage to speak in front of millions of people. He was also arrested a few times. To me courage is about being kind and being brave or about facing your fears. Martin Luther King changed America forever because of his courage and more. Martin Luther King had so much courage and never gave up on trying to get black people the same rights as white people. When he said the I HAVE A DREAM speech that took a lot of courage.
