My goal for the new year is to get better at math and writing, I will they as hard as I can to get better at those things, and I will try to help clean the cafeteria at lunch time and I will just try to help our school in general.
ReplyDeleteMy hopes and dreams for the new year include getting better at my writing skills. I'd like to improve in the area of introductions, voice and refections in my feature articles. I also want to get better at revising and adding detail to my work. I can achieve this goal by practicing writing, getting tips from my teacher, and learning how to use an outline. One way we could help each other in class is by starting a class book club after school to share ideas and find out about new books. We can help our school by donating home books to the school library. These are my new years' resolutions.
ReplyDeleteGreat goals.
DeleteI also want to get better at adding details, but I want my details no to trail off my topic.
Deletei have goals for reading. i want to get to a way higher level and be a better reader. well i am going to try reading up to 1 and a half hours a day. and i will try my very best to think about the book i read. i think we can help people in ps261 and our community by telling people to read harder and to really think about there book and you will grow up to be a really good reader. and i think they will! :)
ReplyDeleteMy goal for the new year is that I want to get better at doing writing reading and math. My big goal for the new year is that I want to improve my thinking in math because I'm not really good at making big ideas and some of the children in the class amaze me. I also want to pay more attention and check my work for the little things. Those are my new years resolutions.

ReplyDeleteHi Ms. Scarborough and class. My resolution for the new year is to be as nice as I can possibly be to my friends and family
ReplyDeleteGood job may!!!
DeleteMy goal for the new year is to get many fours on my report card and get to division 2. I also want to help in the penny harvest and donate to a shelter that helps endangered animals and I also want to be the penny harvest person who does announcements to the school to urge people to give more pennies for charities. I also want to work on my listening skills to impress Miss S not just to be kind but to also get into a good high school so my Mom and Dad don’t have to worry about me getting bad school learning. The reason I want to do all of this is to get a good life, make a good example for my baby sister, Eva who means everything to me and also give everyone a good example of someone who is on the right path, trying their best to learn, like Miss S says most important, be kind. I hope everyone in my school and many out there will do the same as me. This is my goal for the new year. HAPPY NEW YEAR! (:

ReplyDeleteMy goal for the new year is to get better at focusing on my work. I have no idea how I’m going to do it, but i am going to try. I also want to help our classroom community to make sure no one ever feels left out of the fun. We need to make sure everybody in our class is happy. Like Halina, I also want to help endangered animals in the penny harvest. I also want a lot of people to bring in pennies, because I REALLY want that pizza party!! Come on, everybody. Look under your sofa cushions for pennies! It’s never too late to start collecting.
ReplyDeleteBEBE! love the name by the way!
DeleteThis New Year one of the goals I want to work on is in my reading and my math. I have improved in my writing but like I said I need to I need to improve in my math and reading. What I need to do to improve in my reading and math is to work hard and study harder so I can get better. ReplyDeleteMy goal for the New Year in math is to pay closer attention to the problem and to the strategy that I use. My goal in writing is to express my voice a bit more while writing informational pieces. My goal for reading is to look deeper into character belief systems.
ReplyDeleteMy overall goal for the New Year is to help others, care for others and listen to others. My tippity- top of the top goal is to learn how to appreciate myself and learn to be able to talk about myself.
One of my goals for this year is to get better at vocabulary, reading, and writing. I want to get better at vocabulary because getting better at vocabulary will get me better grades and I always want better grades. I want to get better at reading because I want to have a higher reading level so I get better grades. I want to get better at writing so I will get better grades for writing.

ReplyDeleteFor this year's new year I want to improve in writing and stamina in writing so for writing projects i'l get good grades. Another thing I want to get better at is convincing my mom to play more video games because I love video games. Also I want to get better at soccer and to do that I may have to play less baseball. Also another thing I want to get better at is thinking about other people besides me. I want to get better at staying focused. Also I want get better at cleaning my room. Another thing is to get better at spelling. A lot of things to work on shows that no one is perfect.
ReplyDeleteMy first step to getting better in writing is to do more reading and notice each `voice of the writer and difference's in the writer's details. Also I want to be the aware of the writers language.
My hopes and dreams for the New Year are to have better strategies in math. I would also like to be a more fluent reader. I also want to know how to write simple words. I also want to write without getting off topic. I need to be more focused and less talkative. I’m going to do this by having confidence and trying hard to reach my goals.
ReplyDeleteWe can help our communities of learners by being kinder.
My hopes and dreams for school in the New Year is to get better at reading and writing. One goal I want to accomplish is to be able to focus longer on the rug and at my desk. My goal in math is to learn long division. Another goal I have in reading is to comprehend what I am reading. My final goal in writing is to write longer paragraphs. We can help our community of learners in the classroom and in the school by being kind and caring about others feelings.
ReplyDeleteMy hope is to write neater and be a good speller when I write on a piece of paper. My dream is to learn more about doing math strategies and get better. My goal is to think more about the characters in books and who is changing and stuff like that. We can help each other by asking why you think that and why did you do it that way when you could do it a different way.
ReplyDeleteone of my goals for the new year is to, in my writing, reflect better. I find it hard to make a story that is preferably about you that is also factual. you also can't get too personal in your story or you can get off target. I find making the story factual very hard.Another one of my goals is to be more aware of other peoples feelings and what is hard for that person. I find it a bit hard to think about what other students are thinking when I think different from them.
ReplyDeleteOne of my hopes and dreams for the New Year is to focus more on the rug. In math i want to know all my divsion and multiplication facts by memorizing them. I also want to do more cross multiplication and partial product. In writing i want to write longer paragraphs on my writer’s journal, by giving more details, and by giving more examples.
ReplyDeleteAnd when I am reading I want to comprehend what i am reading, and in the new year want a higher reading level that is why over the winter break i am going to read a looooottt!!!!! thank you for reading.
My math goal is to move into my division time table. My reading goal is to move to the S and T level. My writing goal is to put more detail in my work. And last but not least my social studies goal is to work on getting more research.

ReplyDeleteMy goal for math in the new year is to get better in math. I hope that I will be able to move up to mixed division 4, because I am in mixed division 1. How I will do this, is I will study harder on my division tables. I will also practice using some websites and so some practice problems with Dad. For my reading goals, I will read for one hour every day on break, because I haven't been reading super much, like Bea. For my writing, I will have to write more in my writer's notebook. I know that writing in your notebooks is supposed to help you be a better writer, so I will write a new idea every day.
