Life in Ghana and Brooklyn are similar because kids have similar activities in school. They have gardens and statues.The differences are in some backyards there are lizards and vultures. We don't have these in Brooklyn. Everyone in Ghana has black or brown skin. In Brooklyn, there are all different types of people.
ReplyDeleteOne thing that is similar is that they play on the computer like me, and they play outside. They have animals out on the street and we do too, like cats and dogs. Another thing that is similar is that they go to beach and I like going to the beach here in Brooklyn. One way it is diferent is that the kids in school have uniform and I don't.
ReplyDeleteLife in Ghana is similar to life in Brooklyn because first of all they like to play computer games and kids in Brooklyn like to play computer games too. Life in Ghana is also similar to life in Brooklyn because they learn environmental studies, music and dance, they also learn science, mathematics and comprehension. Kids in Brooklyn learn the same thing. Life in Ghana is different than life in Brooklyn because first of all people carry babies on their backs and they have different foods like fufu and plantains. There is different money called cedis. One other thing is that everyone has black hair and everyone has black or brown skin.

For money they use something called cedis for money and you need 8,000 cedis to make one US dollar. Another difference is they have certain names for people who are born on different days.another difference is the people look different.
ReplyDeleteLife in Ghana is different from life here in Brooklyn because in Ghana they have certain names for people who are born on different days. For example Abena's brother Kofi was born was born on a Friday so his name is Kofi. It is kind of like if you were born on a wensday their will be a certain name for you. And we don't have that in Brooklyn. Ghana is also different from Brooklyn because in Ghana if a kid is older then you, you will have to call them '' auntie'' or '' uncle''. Which you don't do here in Brooklyn. Brooklyn and Ghana are similar to each other because you have special subjects like music, science and dance. And we do all of those things in school in Brooklyn.

ReplyDeleteife is different in Ghana then in brooklyn because in Ghana they wear uniforms that have badges on them andthey have lot's of palm trees there and in jennifers backyard chickens and animals come bot here in brooklyn no animals come into our gardens only bugs and in Ghana they have names for people who are brn on certain days for example Abena was born on a tuesday so that is why her name is Abena.And if someone is older then she has to call them Auntie or Uncle and here in brooklyn we don't do that.And in Africa there money is called cedis and it takes 8,000 cedis to make on US doller.Ghana and brooklyn are similar because they have beaches there and lot's of parks and in the schools in Africa they have similer subjects!

ReplyDeleteGhana is different from Brooklyn because they have animals you don’t see on the streets of Brooklyn. For example, I have never seen vultures or monkeys here. Another example is I haven’t seen lizards, except as someone’s pet, or chickens. One thing that is similar in Ghana and Brooklyn is they both have parks. Another thing is they teach the same subjects in school, like music, dance and math. They also have homework like us.

Life in Ghana is similar to Brooklyn,in both places children wear uniforms in private schools.Girls dress in skirts and dresses and boys have on shorts.In Ghana there are gardens and parks just like Brooklyn,people go there to see and have fun.
ReplyDeleteLife is different in Ghana from Brooklyn,because people carry babies on their back and things on the head.In Brooklyn we put babies in strollers and we hold things.in Ghana there are a lot of goats and sheeps in backyards,not in Brooklyn.In Ghana there is a bridge that swings and is only wide enough for one person,here we have a Brooklyn Bridge that is wide enough for not just people but for cars too
Life in west Africa is different because in Ghana you go to school every day but you wear uniforms but when you go to school in Brooklyn you wear regular clothes. Also in Ghana they have lizards but in Brooklyn we do not have lizards and the reason why is because in Ghana it is really hot and in Brooklyn it is really cold and lizards are cold blooded and they like to stay warm.

The things that are the same is they have houses, they study math and science and dance, and in Brooklyn we do the same thing. They go to the beach and we have beaches in Brooklyn also.
Life in Brooklyn in some ways is the same as Ghana because we also have schools and parks. Though in my school I don't wear a uniform. Yet in a lot of ways Brooklyn it is very different for example we don't have live animals in peoples backyards. Also we don't have a Kings palace only a Mayor and President. But in some schools the kids do where uniforms like in Ghana. For the most part its seems very different from Brooklyn. West Africa seems like a beautiful place I would love to visit one day.

Africa is similar to Brooklyn. One thing is in Africa they have a zoo and in Brooklyn they have zoos. Brooklyn has farms and Africa has farms. Brooklyn has houses with backyards and Africa has houses with backyards.

Ghana is different from Brooklyn because in Ghana people respect each other and you have to call everyone older than you auntie or uncle. In Brooklyn we do not have to do that.

In Ghana they have chickens, vultures and lizards, but in Brooklyn they only have lizards and chickens. In Ghana they also play with cards they play a game called spider. In Ghana they have computers like in Brooklyn. In Ghana people carry things on their heads but in Brooklyn we carry things in bags. In Ghana they eat fufu. In Brooklyn there are dark skinned people and light skinned people and people have all sorts of color in their hair but in Ghana there are only black people with black hair.
