Character trait that would describe Lynn are caring and selfless. I know this because when Lynn heard Katie crying, she said she heard her and was scared that she was not okay. I also know this because Lynn put Katie's life before hers, like when the dog attacked Katie and her, she saw the dog tried to bite Katie, and she joked off the tail so she could run even if it meant Lynn getting attacked by the dog instead. The thing that motivates Lynn to behave the way she does is love. I know this because Lynn was helping Katie and risking her life to protect Katie's. Also, she said to Katie," You're the best little sister ever." and it made Katie calm down and stop crying because she knew she was loved by Lynn. One of the lessons I learned was that there is beauty in everything. Lynn saw the beauty in everything, even if it was just the ocean, eyes, or the sky. Also, she cared about all physical things, no matter what is was. Another lesson I learned is that you should always be selfless and protect others. Katie and Lynn saved each other lives because Katie threw the milk bottle at the dog to save Lynn from getting hurt, and Lynn saved Katie because she yanked the dog off her so she could escape from the dog, and they didn't take the credit for how they saved someone or say,"I saved Katie/Lynn today!", they just said how they GOT saved.

I know this because when the dog was attacking her and Katie she put Katie before herself and pulled and held the dog's tail and told Katie to run while she stood back there huddling in a ball while the dog was tearing up her pants. A thing that motivates Lynn to behave the way she does is the fact that she loves her sister and wants to protect her and show her the good in things. She protected Katie from the dog because she loved her. True love. A lesson I learned is that you should always be there for the ones you love. Like when the dog was attacking Katie Lynn saved Katie by pulling the dog's tail and telling her to run. I think that that is a very honorable thing to do.

DeleteOne charactor trait that describes lynn is being forging and loving to others. One example is when after the dog attacked katie and lynn, he was going to hurt his tounge on a piece of glass. So lynn took the hose and sprayed it at him so he would run away from the glass. One thing you can learn in Kira, Kira, is being selfless. I know this because Lynn was being selfless when she wrote in her diary that Katie was the one who saved her life also, she didn't mention anything about her yanking the dog away from Katie. I also know this because of when the dog was bitting and ripping Katies pants, she made the dog come to her so katie could run away. The thing that motivates Lynn to act the way she does in the story is always seeing beauty in everything, and love. I know this because the thing that made Lynn save the dog from ripping his tounge was her love for animals, in the text it said ''lyn loves animals''.

It also says that she saved Katie's life from the dog and told her to run. What motivates Lynn is love and compassion. It says that even though the dog could have provided wounds to her, she forgave him and made sure that it wasn't injured. A lesson from Kira-Kira is that being a loving person is something to be proud of. Like Lynn really didn't care what happened to her but she wanted it to benefit others.

Lynn saved the dog when it was about to cut his tongue, she shot him with the hose so he would run away. Lynn was motivated to help the dog and Katie from a feeling. Lynn saved Katie because she felt responsible for her. She felt responsible because she and Katie weren't close to their parents. Lynn saved the dog because she loved animals. The lessons I can learn from this are, things can be positive and negative. Lynn and Katie get to be near each other a lot but they can't be near their parents very much. Their parents are usually at work. Lynn saved Marie's life but was hurt doing it.
ReplyDeleteA character trait that describes Lenny is brave and responsible. I know this because when the dog was biting Katie in the pants Lenny put herself in danger by grabbing it's tail. I also know because when Katie was crying Lenny came back from chasing the dog, to be like a mother to Katie. What motivated Lenny to act the way she did was her sister. If you think about it if Katie wasn't born Lenny wouldn't be doing the things that she does today. The lesson that I learned from Kira Kira is stand up for what you believe in, and to be responsible.

I know this because even know the dog attacked Lynn and Katie, Lynn, when Katie threw the glass milk bottle, so the dog would not cut his tounge, she sprayed the dog with water. I also know this because when Lynn ran into the field without Katie she ran back because she knew Katie was scared. A lesson you can learn in "Kira-Kira" is be caring.I know this because because Katie was caring and selfless she saved her sister, Lynn's life. I also know this because Lynn saved her sister's life too.

I know this because she put her life before Katie's and jerked at the dogs tail and pulled him away even though her hand could of gotten bitten, she did this so she could save Katie. I also know this because Lynn said "the ocean and peoples eyes are special too" which shows that she saw the beauty in the ocean and peoples eyes. What motivates Lynn to act this way is love. I know this because Lynn was always with Katie no matter what, and Katie would always follow her. I also know this because when Katie was crying because Lynn ran of chasing the dog, Lynn just popped up and said "Boo!" which made Katie cry more but then she said "you're the best little sister in the whole world". One lesson I learned is you should always put others before you. I know this because when Katie ran back to the house she saw that Lynn was being hurt by the dog so she threw a glass milk bottle and that got the dog to go run after it to drink up the milk, and then Lynn and Katie started running back to the house. I also know this because when Lynn was about to go back into the house she stopped because she didn't want the dogs tongue to get cut from the glass from the milk bottle so she sprayed the dog with a hose which sent it running off.

I know this because Lynn didn't want the dog to cut its tongue on the glass, so she got the house and chased the dog off with the water. Even after the dog tore her jeans and bit her. I also know this because when the dog started to attack Katie Lynn jerked the dogs tail to turn its attention on her. She did this because she loved her sister and didn't want her to get hurt.
A lesson I learned from Kira-Kira is that it pays off when you're selfless. I know this because Lynn saved Katie's life and to this day Katie still remembers her even though she died.
A charicer trait that would describe Lynn is imaginative I know this because when Lynn and Katie where playing outside together Lynn said “Peoples eyes are blue and so are the waves and sky” and she was looking up at the stars realizing the beauty of life. The thing that motivates Lynn to act the way she was acting is that the 2 girls are so so to each other they would do anything for each other. A lesson I learned from Kira Kira is that you should always be there for each other I know this because when Lynn went to chase the dog she heard Katie crying and came back. Another example is that when Katie was being bitten Lynn puled the dogs tail and Katie threw the glass jug at the dog when Lynn was being attack
ReplyDeleteLynn is the kind of person who sees beauty in everything and is very deep and understanding and caring and selfless. For example, Lynn said that people's eyes and the ocean were beautiful. She is caring because when the dog had attacked Lynn and Katie threw a bottle at it she still tried to save the dog from cutting his tongue. Lynn is selfless because that night in Lynn's diary "Katie saved my life". Instead Lynn could have said oh and I saved the dogs life and my sisters life but had given her sister all of the credit. She also could have hurt the dog but still tried to make sure the dog didn't get hurt. Now because Lynn has passed on her spirit still lives on in her diary that Katie keeps next to her bed.

I know this because Katie was scared that her sister was gone in the cornfield Katie started crying but suddenly Lynn scared Katie which made her cry more but Lynn said "your the best sister in the world" which calmed her down. I also know this because they were being attacked by a dog and Lynn was pulling the dogs tail to save Katie from getting bitten. What motivates Lynn is love. In this story Lynn saved Katie's life including Katie she had saved Lynn's life by throwing a glass of milk that distracted the dog from making any more damage. As we also read in this story Lynn would've always said that Katie was the best sister ever and Katie always had Lynn's diary next to Katie's bed to keep a memorie of her sister Lynn.
ReplyDeleteLynn is loving and caring.I know this because Lynn is taking the role of the mother I know this because she told poems instead of playing with here friends from school she played with Kira she told her how much she loved her and how much she cared about her. She told Kira that she was the best sister in the world. Lena's motivation is that she loves her sister. She pulled the dog's tail so that Kira could run away. Even though she loved animals, she loved her sister more. I learned that just because you love something, you have to love the ones that love you back.

I know this because she takes care of Katie and doesn’t take her from her sight. She acts like a mother towards her. I also know this because she distracted the dog so that Katie could get away and she thought the dog would cut his tongue on the glass so she sprayed him with a hose to get away.

A lesson I learned was that you should pay attention to the details and you’ll be happier. I know this because Lynn always looked at the details in the sky, the ocean and people’s eyes. Even though she lived a simple life she was very happy.
Lynn is a person who sees beauty in each and everything, she even sees beauty in the sky, the ocean, and people's eyes, and that something everyone can do. This is also what motivates Lynn to act the way she does in the story. For example, when she saved her sister's life by pulling the dog's tail, and the dog could have bite her leg off, she still cared for the dog.
ReplyDeleteOne of the lessons I learned in the story Kira - Kira is that you should always forgive everyone no matter what they have done. Lynn showed how she forgave the dog for almost killing her and her sister by using the hose to make the dog go away and not getting his tongue cut on the glass from the milk bottle.
Lynn is a selfless person I know this because she saved the dog from getting his tongue cut from the glass bottle even though he tried to kill her.Katie motivates Lynn to act the way she does and I know this because in the text it shows Lynn and Katie are close and it kind of also shows how Lynn has took the place of their mom because in the text it says that their mom said their not being Japanese and hoe she would send Katie to Japan to learn more about her culture ,also I sort of noticed that Katie looks up to Lynn.A lesson I learned from reading "Kira-Kira" is that you should always stick by someone and always be positive.An example for this is when Katie said that she didn't care where her mom sent her as long as she had Lynn with her right by her side.
ReplyDeleteI think Lynn is selfless because when the dog was hurting her Katie came running at the dog and threw a glass of milk at the dog, the glass broke and the dog was about to bite the broken glass and that could kill the dog so she grabs the hose and sprays water on the dog so the dog won't get injured. I think she acts selfless because in the text it said that Lynn likes all animals so by watching the dog bite the glass she could had a vision on the dog choking on the piece of glass and the dog getting a bad injury. one lesson I could learn from Kira-Kira is that you should always care about life and I think that because if you love life , life will love you back.

I also know this because when Lynme got hurt by the dog she worried that the dog might cut his tongue on the glass pieces. I think that by Lynn seeing beauty in everything is what motivates her to act the way she does. I know this because at night Lynn and Katie would watch the stars,knowing that a car wouldn't pass by. I also know this because she would say "the blue of the sky is one of the special colors in the world". Then instead of saying that she saved Katie's life she said that Katie saved her life. A lesson I learned is that it is important to cafe about other too not yourself only. I know this because when Lynn saved Katie's life by pulling the dogs tail. I also know this because when dog was going to drink the milk she sprayed water with the hose so the dog would run off.

One of the things that motivates Lynn in the story is that she loves animals, if she didn't like them as much, she wouldn't have chased the dog out so it would probably cut its teeth on the broken glass. One lesson I can learn from Kira-Kira is that you should always stand up for people you love. I know this because, Lynn pulled the dogs tail so Katie could get away and that Katie threw a milk bottle at the dog so Lynn could get away.
ReplyDeleteA character trait to describe Lynn is selfless I know this because when Katie {Lynn's younger sister} was born Lynn was pretty much the only one who took care of her and actually paid attention to her. Also in the cornfield when that fierce mean gray dog came Lynn [who loved animals} chased after it, Katie felt scared then "Boo!" after Lynn said "Your the best little sister in the world!" And when the dog came again Lynn said "Run Katie run!" After Katie ran she went inside the house to bring a bottle of milk then she threw it. The bottle missed the dog and broke on the street. The dog rushed to lap up the milk. My last example is Lynn wrote in her diary, that the corn was so pretty. When it was all around me, I felt like I wanted to stay there forever. Then I heard Katie crying, and I ran as fast as I could. I was so scared. I thought something happened to her! Later, when the dog attacked me Katie saved my life. The diary now sits with Katie.

Katie started to look at the world like Lynn and was calling even the kleenex Kira Kira.
