One thing I learned is that partnerships teaches you to get along better with others. I learned that you can make so many friends just from one or two school years! I learned that in a classroom you have so many people that can help you! I learned that when you are having trouble do not be afraid, the teacher will not tell you to go away. I learned that once you spend so much time with everyone it is hard to say goodbye. I learned that I love historical fiction and fantasy writing. I learned that you can have so many different strategies to solve things. I learned that sometimes you have to handle things on your own. I learned that school is not just learning, it's a chance to make new friends and have memories that will stay with you forever. I learned that it helps you with your normal life too when you have to solve problems in work like a budget. I learned that this is all put in for you. Evidence for when you spend a lot of time with people that it is hard to say goodbye is I made so many friends! And now that I know I am going to another school next year it will be hard to say goodbye.
ReplyDeleteI learned in fourth grade how to use cross multiplication. My first example is it is my main strategy when I do multiplication . My second example is I use it when I am having trouble using other strategies. The second thing I learned are decimals. The third thing I learned was the equation strategy. The fourth thing I learned was how to right a historical fiction story. The fifth thing I learned was how to make an electric circuit. The sixth thing I learned was how to play the guitar. The seventh thing I learned was how to make a parody. The eighth thing I learned was how to do long division. The ninth thing I learned how to turn fractions into percentage. The tenth thing I learned is how to add numbers up to the hundred thousands place
ReplyDelete1: My first favorite thing is writing, especially Historical Fiction.
ReplyDelete2: My second favorite thing is that I've learned to never want another teacher and for us to loop again with Ms.S.
:-)
3: My third is having great friends and really getting to know them better.
4: My fourth favorite thing is Math. Especially learning fractions and decimals.
5: My fifth thing is learning to infer and read for a longer period of time.
6: My sixth favorite thing is learning to cooperate with others.
7: My seventh favorite thing is learning to give other people a chance to answer questions.
8: My eighth favorite thing is using the technology in the classroom.
9: My ninth thing is learning to help others to help yourself.
10: Appreciating other people for who they are.
My most important thing out of all of them is never wanting another teacher and for us to loop again. This is important because without Ms S, I wouldn't have learned all that stuff. Ms S has taught me all that important stuff and going to fifth grade is something I look forward to but it's going to be hard to let go of my favorite teacher and friends. Ms Scarborough has always taken me and the class into consideration and has moved me up to the next level and now I'm ready for fifth grade.
The first thing that I learned is to use the equation strategy in math. The second thing I learned is to show not, tell in writing. The third thing I learned in reading the more you read the more you improve your reading skills. The fourth thing I learned in gym class is that the more you exercise the healthier you will be. The fifth thing I learned in physical ed class is that flexibility helps your muscles. The sixth thing I learned in music class is that to write a song you must have verses and a bridge. The seventh thing I learned in science class is I learned how to do experiments. The eighth thing I learned is vocabulary words and how to use them. The tenth thing I learned is that my teacher is the best teacher ever. I know that in music you have to have verses and a bridge like in the song All Of Me there were two verses, you need a verse to start your song and a bridge to end your song.

She was teaching us stuff we only need to know in the 6th grade! She also has an awesome Ginny the Pig (our class pet guinea pig) to keep us company, which is also a reason this was my most FAVORITE year in school! My classmates are really supportive and friendly, and I made alot of awesome friends. I learned ALOT more this year, and I was super prepared for the state tests. This was the best year in all my years at school BY FAR! :)

Delete10 things I liked in 4th grade:

Learning about the Iroquois Indians
Learning about the Revolutionary War
I liked learning about magnetism in science class
I liked using clay to make sculpture and art
I learned how you should sculpt
I liked learning about writing genres
I liked learning about history
I like learning about history because it gets me a chance to learn about how the world is and was back then, and what types of vehicles they had or if they had any. I like to learn about famous people in history that are not alive now like Sam Adams, George Washington, and Hannibal. I love listening to shows and reading books about Hannibal. I like Hannibal because I find it fascinating that he defeated the Romans because the Romans were the best army in B.C. and A.D.
Ten things I like about fourth grade are:
ReplyDelete- Learning deep seated thinking
- Being in writing club
- Being in math club
- Making brochures on the explorers
- Working on our black history projects
- Learning more
- Listening to Ms.Scarborough's stories
- The news
- Reading
- My teacher
One of my favorite parts of fourth grade is having Ms. Scarborough as a teacher because if I didn't have her as a teacher I wouldn't even have all of the things on my list because she taught me all of that. Another reason why one of my favorite parts of fourth grade was my teacher is because she knows she should give 160% of her best at teaching. My last reason is because she has a lot of experience with her job because she has been working for 19 years. So I know she is doing the best.
My first thing that I learned is you should never be embarrassed for who you are no matter if your in a special class or get extra help. My second reasons that I learned is that with the same teacher from 3rd grade you could spent another year with your friends and you will be with the same teacher that still understands you. I've also learned about the Revolutionary War and kids are studying different parts of it. I also learned that for next year you might go to another school and you will think it is hard to say "goodbye". I chose math has now gotten better evidence for tan is last year I got not such good grades for math that's why I get extra help and I go to math club and I always try.
ReplyDeleteI learned new things in math for example long division at first I thought you only had to divide. But then I learned that you have to subtract afterwards . In social studies I learned about the Revolutionary War. That King George the III went against the patriots which helped change America. In writing I learned how to write neatly and better stories because in the 3rd grade it would take me a long time to get the final draft. Now I know how to build a story better and I get to the final draft a lot quicker. Lastly It was nice having the same teacher and friends it made me feel so comfortable knowing everyone I was never nervous when talking to friends.
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I learned in school was to put my feet in the character's shoes, learn about characters changing, character's motivation, peer pressure and more. Now I am able to do know and wonder while reading any book of any genre. Reading is important because it builds your understanding of books and you'll enjoy them better as soon as you understand what you're reading. When you are able to use these reading techniques it affects your thinking and understanding of what you're reading. Also, putting your feet in the character's shoes, characters changing, character's motivation, etc, all of these reading skills help you get a connection with the character. In conclusion, internal thinking while reading is something important I learned in school.

The 6th thing I learned was that you have to use charts like know and wonder to really understand what you are reading. The seventh thing I learned is to always ask quesions when you dont understand something and need it cleared up.
ReplyDeleteThe 8th thing I learned is that you should always know more than1 stratagie for a problem. The 9th thing I learned was how to write a historical fiction story. The 10th thing I learned was that was how to do cross multiplication in math.

10 things I learned this year in school are decimals, cross Mult, fractions, long division, non-fiction writing, realistic fiction writing, fraction number lines, percentages, and how to turn fractions into percentages. Three resons why I really love talking it out are discovering if I am wrong or right hearing what other people have to say and learnimng new things. Also when we have these type of big disscussions I am just super focused and really thinking plus I love when we can turn and talk so that we can share our ideas with others and then share what we talked about and what we learned and shared with the others
