DeleteDear Martin Luther King Jr,
ReplyDeleteYou were a great leader and a person I look up to.You were brave and helped the fight against segregation all over the world. You are the reason all races together and do everything together. In a few days it will be your birthday .We know it as Martin Luther King day.Your dream came true, you helped it come true.We still have things to work on but you were an important figure in the revolution.Know it's up tome and my generation to stop racism and continue working on your dream.
If MLK was alive my letter would be,Dear Martin Luther King Jr,thank you for stopping segregation and making all races come together. If it weren't for you, black kids wouldn't be able to go to school.I love your quotes like ,"If you can't fly, then run.If you can't run, then walk.If you can't walk, then crawl.what ever you do,just keep on moving". Thank you for also making the world equal. You are the best man I have ever known. From ,Zion. That exactly how my letter would go.
ReplyDeleteDear Martin Luther King Jr,
ReplyDeleteThe first thing I want to say is, Thank you for fighting for what's right and never giving up on your dream. You showed me you can fight with your words, not with your fist. When you were doing the march how did you feel? Also how do you feel about your achievement (stopping segregation)? The last thing I want to say is... you're a great person!
Dear Martin Luther King,
ReplyDeleteThank you for everything you have done! You ended segregation while most people were telling you not to! You have given many kids inspiration, including me,to fight against what is wrong. You are the person that let me be in a school with all kinds of people. You are a brave person, standing up for yourself and for what's right. You are the hero of races. Thank you for all you have done!
Sincerely,Reed
Dear Dr.King, Thank you so much. You have made the world such a wonderful, diverse, better place. But how did you feel when you had to go to jail? Or when people hurt you? If you weren't scared, angry,or sad, that's amazing! But if you were, that's okay,we all do. I live in such a diverse place and go to such a diverse school! Thank you so much Dr.King! From,Sara

If you didn’t stand up for right if you didn’t black and white peope would be segragated and black people would still be slaves but sice you stud up for what is right I go to a school tha thas black and whites i the same class room and treated equal. Thank you MLK.
Dear MLK Jr.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the great work you have done for black people. I love how you realized that it is unfair to not treat everyone else the same way as others. If you haven't done this I wouldn't have thought to be a doctor because of the law. Thank you once again for changing my family's life!:)
Dear Martin Luther King JR,
ReplyDeleteIf you were still alive today the first thing I would do is give you a big squeeze! The questions I would ask Martin Luther King JR are: How did you manage all that hatered around you, hatered that was coming towards you? How did you fight with love not hate? All those people that fought with hatered, you didn't believe in that you fought with the opisite... LOVE.
Something I would tell Martin Luther King JR about my own life would be that this very day is that we march in honor of you, Martin Luther King JR. And you changed everthing, you changed the way people think about segregation. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have met some of my friends.
Thank you Martin Luther King JR for all of the hard things you did just to change the world to make it a better place a beloved community.
I would have done the same thing, I would have fought with love not hate, I would of used my words not my fists.
Your fighting has changed everything!
I agree with you Nasma because you should never treat someone badly with fists. You should always talk it out with them nomadic how mad you are. Martin Luther King did the right thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteDear Martin Luther King
ReplyDeleteThank you for being brave enough to stand up to bigots and fighting against racism. Also, thank you for letting everyone know that we are all created equal and it doesn't make a different what color your skin is as long as we love each other. And, thank you for stopping the separation of black and white people in restaurants, bathrooms and schools. also for teaching us that we can fight for our rights without violence.
India H.
I would like to ask him if you did not do anything, what do you think the world would be like today?
I think MLK makes good choices like,'We can fight for our rights without violence."
DeleteHe is a really good person.
I would give him a big thank you because he fought to stop segregation and to make blacks just as equal as whites. You have been a major milestone in our history today. You recognized how black people lived and you actually did something about it.Not many people have backbone to say this but the thing you did is you reasoned with the community instead of using your fists and that takes alot of courage.I have one question for you.How did it feel to work so hard to get blacks and whites together? I would like to tell you about myself I'm black and white and Jewish. I'm a musician and class 4-317 is your dream.

ReplyDeleteDear MLK, thank you for showing the wrong doers of segregation do right. Also thank your for telling people in your I have a dream speech , that it doesn't matter what race your are it matters about the content of your character . Since i'm black I know no how black people felt when whites thought they were better than blacks when really equality matters most. Thank you for all you have done to help certian whites know what's right and nobody's better than anybody in any way in terms of segeragation . SINCERLY , CLAIRE ELLIS
ReplyDeleteDear Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping segregation and racism in America. My class and several other classes will be marching for MLK Day that celebrates you. That's how much we respect and admire you and what you did for America. If it weren't for you, we wouldn't all be together and black kids wouldn't have good schools. And they wouldn't be able to do the same things as white kids. Who helped you along the way? What would you think of the world today? Thank you for going through all this trouble to make the world right! ;)
From,Lulu (A student at P.S.261)
Lulu- I love what you wrote but at the beginning I don't really agree with you because there is still racism. MLK tried but he didn't manage to end it.
DeleteI agree with you lulu MLKJR really went through a lot of trouble.
DeleteDear Martin Luther King Jr.
ReplyDeleteI would like to know how did you get so brave in a time of hatred? I am a big fan of yours because you didn't use your hands to fight, you used your words. I would like to thank you by telling you that all of your hard work actually paid off because now we are a nation of peace and love. I know this because children of all skin colors go to school together and work together. Thank you.
Dear MLK
ReplyDeleteThank you for being one of the people in the world that thought segregation was wrong and did something about it. Because now a lot of white and Black people live in peace. Because people like you are the only reason that I'm alive.
Sincerely,
Rio
I would tell him that heis a great man with a lot of common sense and is so politically correct and deserves his own holiday.I agree with him basically everywhere I think that we should not discriminate anybody just because they disagree with you or have a disability or have different race or gender everybody should be included in everything.he said a year before his death that everyone has the resources to end poverty. That is a world problem
ReplyDeletedear MLK JR, I want to ask you 2 questions #1, since your friends were white did you stay inside all day? #2 what was it like to walk in the real Washington D.C? If you never made that speech, I wouldn't have met some of my friends. Thank you so much for ending segregation life is great I wish you could see what you did to fix this state.
ReplyDeletesincerely, Karis
Dear Martin Luther King Jr,
ReplyDeleteI am thankful that you have worked so hard to stop segregation. If you were never alive, I might not have any black friends. Were you mad at the people who didn't like you? Or did you feel bad for them? I am thankful for your kindness and braveness.
Love, Jalen Lai
Dear:MLK
ReplyDeletethank you for all the amazing things you've done to stop segregation. if you didn't then I wouldn't of been alive and I wouldn't of had the correct education and I wouldn't of had all the amazing friends I have now.Plus I love all your songs so thank you.

ReplyDeletehave to do our part to continue your legacy.
If Martin Luther was alive today I would give him a big hug for all of the hard work he has done. Some questions that I would ask him are: was it hard for you to stand in front of sooooo many people who agreed with you and sooooo many people who didn't agree with you? How could you always be so peaceful when people were so mean? How did it feel like to be in jail so many times? Here is a few things I want you to know about my own life. You changed my life because without you I would of not been able to go to a white school or have any white friends, and now I go to a school where they have all different kinds of skin colors. I just want to thank you so much for all that hard work you have done. I also want to thank you by saying that I can't believe that you changed the world just to make it equal for everyone and fair. If I was you I would of done the same thing that you did.
ReplyDeletethank you for stoping seeregtion and making us equal:)
ReplyDeletethank you for all the hard work you you did because you wanted us to have a good life thank you,
thank you, azareyah worley
Dear Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping Segregation because if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t be hear right now. You made the color of people skin not matter anymore, so people of all kinds can marry anybody they feel happy with. You showed us that we can do whatever we like, you created peace all over America, you did not stop until we got peace! If you were here I would give you a big hug for all the good things that you have done.
You would be proud of some of the things we have like the first black president, and my class witch has all kinds of religions, backgrounds, and skin colors. But you would be worried about our new president Donald Trump.
Thank you for all the things that you have done.
Sincerely,
Mateu Williams
I would say ...
ReplyDeleteDear Dr. Martin Luther King,
Thank you for seeing the wrong in segregation and for protecting us against it. You made a lot of African Americans lives better otherwise they would have been treated badly and would have to go to low quality schools far away. They might have to seperate from their parents. You are a good person and I look up to you and hope you know how much you've done.
