My poem is free verse. I used metaphor and simile.
In poetry I learned a lot of different kinds of poems and a lot of different poetic devices.I like to use imagery in my poems.

I learned that poems are beautiful. I also learned that if you put a lot of thinking into it that it could change a person and how they see the subject that you wrote about. the poetic device i mostly use is rhyme. one of the poems i wrote is: Me

My poem is a Haiku.They were originated in Japan and are about nature. The first sentence has 5 syllables and the second has 7, and the third has 5.

Somethings I learned about poetry so far are the different types of poems and I also learned more poetic devices. For example assonance, onomatopoeia, lyric poetry, narrative, imagery, and personifcation. This is one of the poems I wrote... (COLOR POEM):

Wite is the Whip-cream on my hot chocolate.
White is falling from the sky.
White smels like Coconut Water.
White taste like Vanilla falored ice cream.

I think some of the poetic devices I used are, Simile, Metaphors, and Imagery.

I've learned that poetry is a way express yourself.Also in some of the poems i write use imagery.
I have used Odes, hyperbole, Haikus, sinquane and the color poem but that is not all. I am going to share a Haiku poem and its called Cherry Blossom so here it goes….

When I'm making a poem the poetic devices I use are image and rhyme I use these poetic devices because its really easy for me to rhyme because I listen to a lot of music and the kind of music I listen to there is alot of rhyming.The reason I use image as a poetic device
ReplyDeleteis because it's really easy for me to think of something to put in a poem and its even easier for me to have an image of something I don't like for a poem and it's the same for a poem I really do like and you will probably notice that once you read the poem down below.
Here is a poem I wrote:
Love is not that small
Ode to my family
In your heart there is love.
But there are two squares in your
heart and one square has the love of all
your friends but the other square is a whole
different story. That square has the love of your family
and you know it does because when you’re being
loved by your family you feel the upright
part of your heart pumping so hard. You also
know when you’re being loved by your family
because in your mouth it feels like your swallowing
a giant piece of cheesecake. So if you thought love was some tiny little thing in your heart think again.

In that poem I use a lot of metaphors and similes because sometimes you can't share a feeling in a literal way so you can compare to something I also like to write list poems but some other poetic devices are onamonapia because I feel that it really helps imagine yourself in the poem I also use not a poetic device but sometimes it really helps to write about something you know about.
I have learned that poetry is beautiful and special in its own way. Poetry always sounds like music to me when I hear it. Here is one of my poems:

Your big shiny eyes and
big squished face.
You feel like a soft blanket.
You have a curly, little, tail
and two small floppy ears.
Oh Pug, I know it's hard to
breathe because your face

I used rhyme, imagery and I think that's it.
