A Letter to MLK

If Martin Luther King, Jr. was alive today and you could write him a letter, what would you say?

What questions would you ask him?

What would you tell him about your own life?

How would you thank him?

  4. Dear Martin Luther King ,I want to ask you, why did you keep on trying? Did you like to stand up for what is right? Were you nervous when you gave your speech? I think that it is cool that you helped people because I want to help people too. I would like to help people by starting a charity. I want to start a charity for people that can’t buy enough clothing. I want to thank you for the way you changed the world. You had patience, you were nice and kind about it, and you used no violence.

  8. Dear, Martin Luther King
than you for all of your hard work and determination to make our world a much better place. You helped all of the people in jail and all the people who were suffering for protesting we couldn't have done better without you if it wasn't for you I would have not been in the same school as some of my friends and wouldn't be treated the way I'm treated today. But there is always a question I have always wanted to ask you and that is what was your motivation too start protesting even though you knew you were going to get injured or hit by police men? And who were he people that supported you the most other then your family of course. 12. Dear Martin Luther King, you were a legend of your time and most people agree, some don't, but you did not mind and that was really inspiring. I have two questions, first, what would you say if you were able to give more speeches to people? Two,how would you feel if racism stopped forever?

And I would also ask him how did you feel when you were throne into jail when you did nothing wrong? I would also tell him about our march to Borough Hall in honor of him and sing songs about freedom and love. I would thank him for helping stop segregation and let me have all the friends I do.

  15. Dear Martin Luther King Jr.
Thank you for making everyone aware of racism and inequality. You were able to bring many people together so they can understand what was going on in the world. Because of what you did, today my class has different kids from different races. There is one question I would like to ask you. Did you get assaulted during any of your marches? There is one thing I would to tell you. In my school the boys are sometimes unfair to the girls. I try to remind the boys not to treat the girls differently. Especially when we are playing sports. I’ve seen girls play sports too.
I would like to thank you again for bringing everyone together and understanding the value of being nice and working together. Also, for making everyone aware of racism.

  17. Dear Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr,
I am happy to say that your plain did work out, but sometimes black people are still treated unfairly. I’d like to ask you some questions. How did it feel to live in a time were there was segregation? How did it feel to watch people such as Rosa Parks follow in your footsteps? I’d like to tell Dr. King that on January 18, 2019, my school is going to march to Borough Hall in honor of him. We will have posters crying for freedom and justice for all. I would also like to tell him that America elected first black president and that my school is welcome to all races. Thank you Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., for changing the world and inspiring a nation.

  18. Dear Martin Luther King Jr.,
How are you? I love all the work that you have done for us. I wouldn’t be here if you weren’t born and I wouldn’t be in my school if you didn’t protest for African Americans and other people’s rights. There would still be segregation,we would be the worst country, if it wasn’t for your kindness, love, peaceful protest and courage. Did it take a lot of courage to continue to protest when there were death threat’s and racist insults? Would you be happy your dream is coming true? Life today is fun, it’s way more peaceful and nice and I wish you could see it. I have to thank you for everything you’ve done for us, you made America a better place!

  24. Dear Martin Luther King Jr.,
Thank you so much for all the stuff you have done. I wish everyone would understand what your words meant because not everyone does. Some people think that your country matters and your skin color today. When I want to play soccer or basketball a boy will say your a girl or what are you doing here your Arabic or why do you have to wear an hijab. It's not important. I wish people will understand.
